A few spring blooms around the front yard.  Pictures were a little difficult to take due to all the bees.

Awesome!! I’ll buy some trachy seeds from you if you get some

Palms look great!  Like the Ceanothus, and Cistus salvifolius also. Haven't seen it much since i'd planted some at my Grandparents years ago back in San Jose.

There was a guy in Bremerton on the Northwest Palm forum (before it folded) that grew a really nice good sized Butia.

Cheers, Barrie.

If I get some I'll send them for free.  Last year I harvested one branch of seeds off a palm in a strip mall and now have about 300 seedlings.   Fresh seeds germinate within a week or two.

Thanks.  These do really well here. It's a lot hotter and drier than most people realize in the summer, as it is considered a Mediterannean climate here.  These were planted out as smaller plants last year and are already huge.

Thanks.  It will be 3 years in the ground this August.  It has grown surprisingly quick.

I'm sold too, I plan on adding another.  I originally planted two but the first one died the first year as we had a terrible winter.  This one is in a more protected spot.

I've seen a pictures of a few larger ones in the PNW.  The palm nursery I bought from had a massive one in the ground but it died during our bad winter three years back.  The nursery is located in an exposed spot with a lot of winter wind, and a half growing zone cooler.
