    So Bill, being the engineerand observer you are, what is your plan for care of these?   Throwing them outside in the shade and seeing what happens?  ...or something more to baby them?

    Well, I have found that my location is very conducive to happy New Cal palms....IF I don't try to change it up... like stupidly leave some in my little greenhouse during last summers massive heat wave...even with all the doors open. :( Took out a large gem there :( But if I keep in filtered light outside and just pay some attention, they seem to do well. Mainly because I am probably over 90F less than 10 days a year and generally never below 34F either...then throw in that I tend to be 70-80%  or more humidity overnight and stay in the 40% range even during the day... they just putt along. My small bracteale is pushing a new spear as is my cerifera..B)

    Those same conditions make things slow to germinate, if at all... thus I splurged on seedlings.

    Jim, if you look in my post pic on June 11th, the larger Lavoxia (2nd from left) is the same one with the pen in it above.  That fully opened leaf is the one opening on June 11th. So to essentially grow an entire new leaf on a rare New Cal palm in 3 months!? I'm HAPPY! (Knock on my wooden head here...)  Based on my observations of Lens and Matt P's, if they are happy, they are relatively quick palms. :)

    Well... A LOT of stuff happened in the past year.. (not only Covid-19) and this drew some attention away from these.. but an update from this am... Putting along outside in the weather I mentioned above..They still seem small, but when compared to the early pics.. Growing!!
