Wind...GO AWAY!

So tired of this !@#$%^&*!  wind!    Experiencing some of the strongest winds EVER here.  

Looks like there will be a lot of damage to the yard...Pool and grass are filled with pine needles.  Tender fronds are getting bent backwards and small tree canopy completely blown out.  

How's everyone else's yard in Southern California faring?

My yard got hit pretty hard.  Had a triangle palm blow over (it had some kind of dry rot and was already slightly wobbly) and have a Parajubaea Sunkha that now has a slight lean.  I tried to stake it back up straight, but it is a pretty big palm now.  For some reason I have issues with Parajubaeas where they predominately grow roots on one side of the base.  No doubt there will be a lot of frond damage/fried tips from all this wind.

No issues here in Laguna Hills from the wind. As for the dry air, time will tell....

We got hit pretty hard yesterday, the wind was right out of the north, constant with some very strong gusts.  It knocked over chairs and some of my larger potted plants but nothing seemed to get damaged.  I heard someone got crushed when a large Eucalyptus fell on their car in Tustin yesterday.

There were winds recorded in the 80 mph range in Orange County!  

One of the biggest saving grace was the rainstorm over the weekend.  At least palms were nice and saturated.  Gotta go water all the potted palms/plants today to rehydrate them.
