RJ
I tend to keep on eye on what Joe Bastardi says when it comes to patterns. He has pretty organic forecasting in this regard IMO. He's calling for a pretty cold and wet(snowy ) winter for the those of us in the SE. If you planted some marginal stuff this year thinking it's gotta be better then last year's brutal winter might get ready to do some winter protection: These are all from Joe Bastardi's Twitter Page
kinzyjr
The prediction is consistent with what one would expect from a strong El Nino pattern. A while back, we all chatted about this on this thread: http://www.palmtalk.org/forum/index.php?/topic/56931-el-ni%C3%B1o-expected-later-this-year/ 1 Lakeland, FL USDA Zone (2012): 9b | Sunset Zone: 26 | Record Low: 20F/-6.67C (1985, 1962) | Record Low USDA Zone: 9a | 30-Year Avg.
