Monster Chamaerops humilis var. argentea

I'm looking at this palm and I realized that I've never pruned one single leaf off of it in 10 years.  It's gonna be a doozy of a job but it's almost time.  Maybe in another year it'll be ready.  For now it shall remain as a giant mound of blue fronds.  This palm gets only 4 gallons of water one time per week.

For contrast, here's the one I keep pruned up to a single stem.

Nice palms! I think they both look great, nice to have a bit of variety.

Regards Neil

They are beautiful!

Nice, personally I like the single stem one more. I wonder how many stems you will find when you cut the leaves back...

Beautiful color. That single stem palm looks awesome in that semi-desert setting.

I'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden in the shade.

Love the uncutted one. Reminds me on the Chamaerops I often see during my business trip to northern Italy.

Next time I'll take some pictures

Not nearly as big as above. I still like mine. It's flowered but any seed would be a surprise.
