Sorry, there is a problem

Please wait 29 seconds before attempting another search

Error code: 1C205/3

This happens when you click on 'page 2' of the search results

Daryl - have you waited the 29 seconds? Then what?

There is a throttle on non-IPS Members ability to do multiple quick searches - since it is such on drain on server resources to search the entire PalmTalk data base. This may have something to do with it.

Yep, every time I get the same result but the wait time increases....but the issue is that if my search results return more than one page I cannot view the results of page 2, 3 , 4 etc as it thinks it is a new search and presents the 'wait' message again...I cannot proceed past that point...so if my search results are not on page 1 I can never see them.

Hope this makes sense ::D

I'm seeing the same thing. This is definitely a bug, if you only do one search you should be able to click to go to page 2 without getting that message.

As an IPS Member, I am not getting that message - as it should be. Perhaps others can confirm, in case this is because I am also an Admin. Our intent is to provide IPS Members with unlimited searching privileges.

Are you telling me that even if you do the required wait time, you are not able to search page two??? I'm thinking that each page is considered a "new" search. Since some searches pull up so many pages (searching "Dypsis" pulls up almost 1000 pages) that are never looked at, there is no point for the server to work through, index, and prepare them all for viewing, until they are actually called up for viewing.

I have reduced the "Search Flood Control" wait time for non-IPS Members to 30 seconds (it was 60) - but at times our server is already approaching load limitations. And our costs keep increasing, while our financial support does not.

Thanks Dean, Ok, if I wait for 30+ seconds before clicking on page 2 of results then it is fine, so I guess that it performs a new search each time you click on the page #

Daryl
