A Lemur palm?

 

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

The leaf bases look cocoid to me, I'm thinking the colour is a bit of a trick. Wild guess - Parajubaea

It's neither a Lemur or Parajubaea but thanks for having a go. Here is another photo which could give the game away to the eagle-eyed.

Chamaerops maybe? I think I see a spine and because it spreads verically to the petiole the specimen is most probably var cerifera...

Ding ding ding we have a winner (well two). Congrats to Konstantinos and TCHPs. This in fact the base of Chamaerops humilis var argentata (aka Cerifera). Never noticed the nice base colour until a recent repot revealed all. Thanks all for playing.
