Today I notice a strange outgrowth from his Archontophoenix alexandrae. Is he going to blossom? Growing in a container of 12 litres, the age of 5 years. How often this type blooms in containers?

Looks like a Chamaedorea radicalis to me,:indifferent: but could you post a pic of the whole palm?

If so, it's got the usual early early puberty, right out of the womb (practically).

:blink: I couldn’t believe it, flowering sooo early, still a child …… :o I had one here in a pot, much taller than yours, with a real trunk, but it didn’t flower even one time … :(

    Oh yes, you are right, I checked the photos now more carefully :rolleyes: on my computer: It is Chamaedorea radicalis, as I had guessed before.

    But it's even better on the street before winter to keep.

    That's a fine Chamadorea radicalis! Looks like one of the less glaucous variants. Very nice!

    If you want some A. tuckeri seed, send me a PM with your address and I'll mail you some, no charge. They. like alexandrae, get about 3 meters of trunk before flowering, though under the right conditions it happens quite fast.

    Thank you very much, but I have to refuse. Since my region is impossible to supply from other countries (Ukraine does not recognize Crimea as Russian). And many years later the palm is too big for the room.

    No problem.

    That radicalis is very nice, it might even grow outside for you if it's not too cold. Crimea's relatively warm.
