Dear Forum,

I found 2 palm tree species in a hotel lobby and I`ve got the faintest idea what could they be:

1) first palm tree

I think the seeds are fake, ain`t belonging to the palm...

2) second palm tree

Thank you for guessing...

I would say the first is a Phoenix canariensis, the second a poor Howea forsteriana suffering of this indoor lobby situation .

Marc,
I hope you'll start your collection with other species and plants, indoor or outdoor; can you grow Trachycarpus in your garden?

Thank you guys for your guessing!

As I mentioned, the pics were taken in a hotel lobby. I already have an exotic collection of palm (seeds picking at vacation), such as Dypsis decaryi, roystonea regia, syagrus schizophylla, Livistona chin., Copernicia prunifera, washingtonias. Only ph.dact., ph.can. and washingtonias were planted outdoors.

Cheers
