Hello there,

I just took this photo outside...

Ok, nice flash - but what`s the point?? (Maybe some of you can make it out...)

...

Here it comes:

It is one of the rare moments during the year you can see the Southern Cross even up here in Okinawa - with a cocos nucifera in front ;)

best regards

Lars

PS: My apologies for the low quality, I have used my camera for the first time to make night shots.

Loving the shots! Guess I need to add to this. I'm curious to see how my newer phone takes shots at night. Funny thing about my Parajubaea sunka is now the leaves aren't showing much silver but the leaves are getting tall.

I always photograph my orchids in flower with my phone flash. They pop better with the black uncluttered background

Well here again, I didn't use a flash, just taking advantage of some uplighting on a palm or two at dusk, a long exposure, high iso and shallow dof for you photography buffs (1/20th second exposure, 1250 ISO, and f2.8). I liked the look on the Burretiokentia hapala trunk and the Pritchardia flynnii.
