Just a heads up to anyone in the Brisbane area that Bunnings are now selling Chamaerops labelled as Trachycarpus. They are in the undercover section with the indoor palms. I thought the price wasn't bad either. Sorry if these are really common and boring in some parts of the world but not often seen around here.

I've seen these mislabeled up here as well. I tried to correct the mistake with the store and two weeks later they where still mislabeled. Very common here but always nice to find palms not usually available in your particular area.

Cheers, Barrie.

Thanks Pedro,

id love to have one, do you think Bunnings here keep some?

They are slow growing when young but start to speed up a bit after they reach this stage. I'd put these plants at about 3 years old. I do have some silver ones Pete. I'm not sure if these will reach Sydney as I'm pretty sure these are from a local nursery.

In my experience green med fans are faster than silver.

Ya ... give them adequate water during the growing season and they will put on substantial growth.

Cheers, Barrie.
