2 ) what species of  seeds have good longevity and what are the short longevity

in your experience 

i think most tropical palm seeds have short longevity and some specie's germination rate is very low ( like Hydriastele )

Easy but short — Lytocaryum insigne, L itapebiense, L weddellianum, Satakentia liukiuensis (extremely short).

There are a lot of easy seeds to germinate like Carpoxylon macrospermum, Chambeyronia, most Dypsis species (some, especially the very small seeds only when fresh), Chamaedorea species, Carpentaria acuminata, Latania species, Phoenix species and quite a few more. The hardest for me to germinate are all Butia species. Brahea species test my patience, too, but I think that is well known. Acantophoenix species are generally hard to sprout as well.

Most tropical seeds are short lived and die almost instantly unless they are kept slightly moist the entire time, e.g. Heterospathe, Licuala, Hydriastele, Geonoma, Pinanga, Ptychosperma. On the other hand, e.g. some Dypsis, Chamaedorea, Trachycarpus, Jubaea, Brahea and Butia (provided you are able to sprout them at all) can be stored dry for quite some and will not lose their viability.
