Hope you post more photos of your other species as well. You live in a very interesting climate. Is that a Brahea Armata to the left of the cactus?

Yes.. Brahea armata.. its getting shaded out, however..  your climate is interesting as well.. id suspect you'd be hotter in the summer given your location..  what is your elevation?

It was 1886 meters. It's pretty much Pinned at 32 c in the hottest months in the day with nice nights that rarely go over 15 c. Winter at the coldest is usually a couple of degrees at the coldest at night then it warms up to 20 or more around noon.

Coldest I Experienced was -5 for like 20 minutes. that made a Majesty spear pull, but it recovered although I think it got stunted. yes it was interesting I had a Royal there for 3 years without an issue. Other Royals around the city that had stayed perhaps 2 decades as well. Also had Kenia's under Canopy, one in ground and they did well.

I moved down to a much Varmer Climate in Mazatlan now. Here I got a Coconut, Royal, Teddybear, Butia and waiting for a Bismarckia just need to cut down a tree first.
