This is an Encephalartos latifrons that I purchased as a 3" plant from Dick Johnson (California nurseryman) in early 2000. I'm close to retirement, and I'm selling this plant in order to finance some much needed home improvement projects.  It's a strong grower and is the Trappes Valley form with a 9" caudex at the base. I have it growing in a large pot. In the 16 years that I've had it, it has flushed every year but one. So, to this point in time; it has been a very vigorous grower.

I'm located on the Texas Coastal Bend near Corpus Christi. It would be great to sell it to a Texas buyer, but I'm willing to help arrange shipping to locations in the continental US.

Price is $8000. Please no trade offers.

PM or send email to: thedigitalimager@me.com

Thanks,

Geary

Pre-recession retail for this plant was $1000/inch.

Nice plant, but the price may be a bit high in this

market.

Geary,  that is a very nice plant. However, you'll be very lucky if you find someone willing to pay $400/$500 an inch, as mcrawford mentioned the market is not good.

Good luck with your sell.

Actually, I have a local offer for more than the $400/$500 you mentioned, but I understand what you're saying about the current market. I'm not desperate to sell, so I wanted to see what other offers might come along.

Thanks,

Geary
