It's a green Cordyline fruticosa (most likely)

While I think your garden is probably very nice, your photography is fantastic and probably makes it look even better. Kinda like Movie stars with and without make-up... I need to have you make my weedy diamond look great! :D

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Hey Bill, thanks, I'd be glad to do a PRA one day and get your garden the whole Pandovision™ makeover.  :D

How's this Bill? Beautiful picture if it's framed correctly, and the lighting is in balance. I had to apply some deblur though.

My camera takes extremely sharp images with great color fidelity, but as a general rule I do not adjust colors or make them more vivid in my images. Sometimes I have to play around with lighting to bring detail out of the shadows, or reduce the highlights just because the camera didn't choose the correct balance, but most images I post are largely unedited. And, always keep the lens clean - this is mostly for folks taking smartphone photos that have a hazy appearance just because of finger smudges on the lens!

A PRA to La Habra can't hurt, either!

Well, Bill's done, working on visiting Dooms at some point, quite a drive though...

Anyway, got some inspiration now (Len's, Jeff's, Bill's) :mrlooney:, back to my own:

This little Dypsis sp. "Maroantsetra" looks best this time of year. It's now 8.5 feet tall. I keep pruning the pygmy to make sure it has room, but next year it will punch through.

Color has NOT been enhanced in any way from what the camera sees. Enjoy!

Thanks for the kind words, but nooooo, please don't stop posting your own pictures... It's not my intention to compare images in any way, and we shouldn't. This is not a photography forum. We should enjoy the plant life depicted in these images, no matter how the photos are taken.

I will have to scale down my own postings if others feel that it puts them at a disadvantage. Please post away, they are all beautiful.

Sorry, Ando, I was joking,

I really think like you, we all enjoy seeing pics of everyone else, and don't wish to start a competition.
Every tiny seedling carefully planted in the ground, every plant in a big mess of weeds or any garden is interesting and shows the love the gardener has for his garden, love we all share here on Palmtalk.

But seriously I am impressed by the beauty of your photographs, thanks to Palmtalk i can discover your pics with every new post.
