This area was also nothing but dune . Has totally changed in the 13 years I have been here. Ths is just a couple miles south of Marineland, these huge condos were built here at the end of 16th st over the last 5 years or so.

This little motel has been here for many years. The buildings are all made of Coquina rock, beautiful!!

Going back over the toll bridge from the Hammock back into Palm Coast, looking north...this marina on the right side of the intercoastal has just been built as well.

Wendi, I called Washington Oaks State Park and talked to a Ranger who had been at the park for fourteen years.Unfortunately, the Banyan tree is no longer at the park. She speculated that it met it's demise either through hurricanes, freezes or she said they may have removed it because it did not fit their profile of native vegetation. At any rate, the park is beautiful and please post pictures if you have a chance.
