What is your favorite coccothrinax

What had been an exceedingly slow-growing little hybrid took off last summer.  The leaves are nothing special but the trunk has lots of fiber and the leaves are just big enough to dominate the area without tickling fence or house.

My favorite Coccothrinax species are in the genus Trachycarpus, because I can't grow any Coccothrinax, not even C. montana. So: Trachycarpus princeps, T. latisectus, and T. martianus are pretty good proxies.

Trachys really are good proxies.  We have the opposite problem:  trachys grow well for a decade or so, then fade away.

Coccothrinax borhidiana is still my favorite.A tough little palm that always looks great under our extreme desert conditions.

Am sorely missing it since it succumbed to fungus a month ago, but surely C. argentata . In close second would be C. garciana

Coccothrinax crinita, the old man palm,is starting to grow on me. A local nursery brought in 18 of these this spring, and I am glad I was able to add 1 to my garden.
