That's a whole lotta petiole going on. Its hard to detect from the photos, those petioles are 20+ feet long. I wonder if I will live long enough to see it develop a black stem.

How long has that been in the ground? How big when you planted it? Mine is on its second year and is growing slowly. Planted as a 2 leaf strap.

I didn't kill that plant. It committed suicide.
