Obtained this Dypsis from a good friend without a name has mealy bug markings but very robust grower and new petoles are green not red like mealy bugs i have seen, this palm went from a 4 inch seedling to this in about 3 years. Matty u made a comment to me about this palm when you were here at palm society meeting, cant remember what the comment was.

You sure it's not a Kentiopsis oliviformis?

It looks quite a bit like my KO.

Sure looks like a K. oliviformis to me.

Fast growth too, from a 4" seedling to that in 3 yrs! It's happy.

Joe Len And Matt thanks for your replys, i have two other KO palms that were definitly sold to me as KO'S here are pics of both these have never had mealy markings. Im not familiar with KO palms does one have mealy bug trait, neither produce red fronds?

Wait a miniute im taking a look at pics i just posted i guess these also have a bit of markings on them just not as pronounced, but these fronds are alot more upright than first palm and looks totally different!

Sergio, I have seen KO look just like yours. Loaded with tomentum. They out grow it.

The recurve and spacing of the leaves looks different to me on the second palm than a KO. Here's mine.

Len nailed it Sergio!!. They out grow the mealy markings (tomentum) when the start to mature from the seedling stage. they will grow up right (shuttle cocked) when they start to really gain growing speed.
