This is one of my superneighbours, coming to help with his own supermachine!  :) He purchased his land three years ago and is working hard on it.

On the other hand, the closest property to my place is still on sale after some years... who knows who will catch it. ???  If anybody needs a steep slice of a European  hill in zone 11, ask me.

AT LAST!

They are in.

OK guys I started this topic so at least from a personal point of view I can wind it up tho I do appreciate its an on- going concern for other palmophiles.

The new guys actually LOVE looking at my garden from their upstairs bedroom window, are not at all anti palm and they are a really lovely couple with two great friendly dogs.

Im truly a lucky man.

any neighbour who actually has an interest in plants and has lots of cuttings to  share and swap would be cool!

My neighbor is, well, to be polite, are real donkey's behind. He doesn't speak to me at all because I want nothing to do with him or his junk car collection...

In fact, he can't pick up the wet newspaper that he drives over 14 times, but he CAN cut all of my palm fronds that hang over into his "airspace" over our property lines.

As my dad once said "An eight foot fence makes the best neighbors."

In the area where I keep my plants in Tenerife, we have no fences in most properties. We only close the side toward the road. in some cases you can just walk through, but it takes a one or two minutes walk. In some other cases, the boundaries of the properties are purely geological.

This is the "fence" between me and Alberto, the neighbour pictured above, riding the machine. It is about 200 m tall and maybe that's why we are friends. The boundary is also some 20 minutes walk away from the houses.

The part to the right of the people is mine, the left part belongs to the neighbour.

And this is one of the highest points of the "fence". The left side is mine, the right side belongs to Alberto, the neighbour.

After seeing all Bo's pictures of his incredible palm garden, I'd like him to be my neighbor -- by way of me moving to Hawaii!  (It's just a dream, but you never know.)

Yeah, I'd like to have him for a neighbor too, but as long as I got a plant/palm freak who didn't mind lots of kids running around, I would be happy. I also wouldn't mind having Carlo as a neighbor as well, beautiful land there Carlo!!

I have no neighbors now, and really want it to stay that way....lol

I would like some new neighbours, as soon as possible please.  They must have an intense dislike of gardens, preferably be agorophobic, so that they have no objection to me having their garden.  Ideally they should also be somewhat clumsy and have an accident that results in their house burning down and then contributing that land to be my garden as well.  Then I hope they move in to what would be my new next door and continue the process.

What? it could happen.
