Golden brown, not golden black! Somebody better alert PETA. I hope he didn't suffer much.

Its was smoked with native oak for 7 hours. The skin was removed revealing succulent tender pink aromatic meat. The 26 pounder is almost all gone.

Was not interested in making a Norman Rockwell looking turkey, more about titillating the taste buds.
