That's cute. Did you know those things are the only mammal that is venominous? Sadly enough, the domesticated trade is threatening the wild populations because they're being poached out of habitat.

Well, here I go OT again - but that's definitely not true. The platypus for one is venomous via its ankle spurs. Perhaps you mean the only placental mammal that is venomous?

The bluest one I've ever seen is the one at the LA Arboretum in Arcata, CA. I have some pics if it around here somewhere.

See if you can find your pictures. I believe that is the one I was referring. I have not seen it for so long but I am sure it was at the LA Arboretum and not some other location.

I would love to see some pictures. Would be worth it to collect seeds if it's as blue as a bismarckia, that would be an incredible sight.

The one I am referring to is not as blue (glaucous) as a Bismarkia.

I am going to repost the picture from the other thread, Mission Bay blue jubaea, photo credit deezpalms. That photo captures the blue pretty well.

I found a young jubaea that has greyish/silver on the petioles. Could this turn into a silver palm, hope so it's quite expensive
