Heres a few pics from 21 mnths ago ( sept 2012) to now of a Bc that used to get so fried here in full sun I thought these to look good here had to be planted in filtered sun.

Last spring it got very fried due to the suns angle and "very hot" days so I planted a Black sugar cane on its Nthn side to give a little shade at that time of year, but now the Bc is getting size it handles the "full blazing sun" very well.

Black sugar cane has beautiful black stems so its a stayer where Ive planted it and it will be kept well under control.

Pete, the condapanna recovered very well. I have a number of them in 3 gal containers I plan on planting out in our hot afternoon Sun. Right now they have ~ 4 - 5 hours of midday Sun and doing well. Thanks for the info.

Thanks Paul, Napalm , Cindy and Mike, yes glad its recovered well, I lost a few to very wet boggy soil, they really "hate that" :), Mike , thats "great' to hear yours are doing well, I thought Condapanna was showing difficulties in enjoying Sth Florida , is this correct ?

very weird.. now before i sent this, it had 70 something views , now it says 10 mins later 550 views, as if :floor:

My smaller Condapanna burnt as well Pete. The Searle heliconia trick helped mend the burn though and now it has finally acclimatized.
