Just wanted to clarify on the age of that plant, was it from the 2018 seeds?  I can see the appeal to all of these little species, to tuck them into corners of gardens that lack much space.

The one I believe possibly to be lepidoispatha is from the 2015 seeds with the other from 2018.

To my understanding the dwarf mature at an earlier age than say Odorata, so if they does flower in the next year or two for sure then that's a good indicator they are dwarf.  I know Rich has about half a dozen labelled as mattogrosennsis that are flowering as well as his Syagrus campylospatha.

It's been growing almost entirely shaded by other plants. I recently cut back a shrub that was shadingit so maybe it'll look different now exposed to more light

Beautiful palm!  How big was it when planted and when was it planted?

A friend gave me this pretty little thing recently, neither of us really knew what it could be though. At first i thought it looked like a dypsis, but the fiber on the trunk tells me otherwise.  Any thoughts?

Yeah, I think it's lost a lot of its shape from being shaded. Here it is in 2016 when I got it from George Sparkman. And the link to the thread...

@Josue Diaz

Yeah, that hasn't grown much for sure!!!  I'd have to agree it has a Butia look to it, will be interesting to see how it continues to develop now that'll it gets me more sun.

I forgot about the one from RPS that I had labelled as Archeri, from the 2015 seed batch...

And here's my Syagrus campylospatha from the same RPS 2015 batch.  These are behind Rich's as far as size...but hope to see these flowering in the next couple years

Here is the one that I got from George as a volunteer with a plant I was buying.  I'm guessing I acquired it as a seedling at least 7 or 8 years ago.  Its been slow, but I have never grown any of the Butia species to know how this compares and if it's one of the more typical growing here like Butia odorata (formerly capitata).  Any feedback on an id would be appreciated.  I doubt it is one of the mini's but I know very little about the genus.  Yes, I couldn't resist using that bottle for a size comparison; it seemed appropriate given the source of the palm.

Funny, I got mine from him around 2016, so it would be around the same timeframe as you got yours. It was also a volunteer, in its own pot, and George had no idea what it might be. If you follow the thread I linked up there ^^ I got a lot of ID suggestions. As far as I know, this is a butia, but the growth rate is really slow so I don't think it is capitata/odorata.
