AAPL taking a face plant on the earning, glad I sold when Rob was so rosy on AAPL, did my first after hours trade today buying some apples in the mayhem.

Apple will be fine. Once folks actually take a look at and digest what was actually said in the call and the ER, I expect folks will sweep in (like Redant) and get in at a discount over the next few days.

Apple will be fine. Once folks actually take a look at and digest what was actually said in the call and the ER, I expect folks will sweep in (like Redant) and get in at a discount over the next few days.

It would be nice to see something a little more ground breaking for them, really nothing overly exciting since the loss of Steve Jobs.

Ford is interesting, beats estimates and its value drops. Maybe on speculation that the aluminum F150 will be a bust or maybe a drain on the companies bottom line?

I think it's more of a how much is the new F150 going to cut into the profits of their most profitable vehicle. I heard they make an average of 10k on each F150. Re-tooling and additional cost to do the new body may cut into that and they might not be able to pass that cost on in the very completive truck market. That's why I thought of AA as the play and not F when the news came out.

Amazon and BX among others are up for ER today. Have some of both. Expect BX to do well. Not sure about Amazon, may dump some if the value ramps up before their ER. PLUG is showing some life as well.

On January 30, 2014 the board of directors at Blackstone Group LP(BX) approved a dividend of 0.58 per share. The dividend is payable on February 18, 2014 to shareholders of record on February 10, 2014.

Previous div was 0.23, should make the yeild over 6% at that level.

My best winners for today in real money, TQQQ, PRAN (which I stole from the Larry ramdom portfolio) and BX. Pran has been a monster for Larry's random picks and is still moving along nicely. Lets see if I cursed it.

PRAN is a serious winner for sure! I have no idea whats been driving this one, but its up 70% this month (and was up big late last year on top of that).

Here are how the others in the Random Garbage Index are doing. SILC and ATHX have also been hits. There have been some serious downers in the mix as well, bu the random ups have offset the random downs with a little to spare.

pran is up 25% today, no new news, thats on top of your 70 i think.

They are researching drugs for Alzheimer's and have had some favorable results.

Amazon took a header as well, not a big surprise as analysts projections seemed unrealistic, IMHO.

Who says it is a danger signal? Margin debt simply rises in a bull market and falls in a bear market, and is not the main cause of a crash. Margin debt is still a very, very small % of the market.
