You have quite a collection of Hydriastele! It is one of my favorite genera but I've never heard of the ones you've posted about today.

I could not find anything about Euterpe microspadyx or 'dix'. . .For example, google lists references to Rare Palm Seeds, Jungle Music and other good sites but there are no pictures or information about E. microspadix on them. Since I love Euterpe I want to know about any species I don't have. So far we have precatoria (variegated),catinga, ol, eracea, broadwayi, edulis (orange crownshaft).

What part of the world are you occupying at the moment? Did I see something about you being in a cold climate (Switzerland)? Are you nuts? Now is the time of year to be in Sri Lanka!

Euterpe microspadix is the name on Floribundapalms list, Google told me it's Prestoea acuminata var Acuminata, why not!

All these Hydriastele came from Floribundapalms, I am looking forward to seeing them growing!

I'll go to Sri Lanka in december for 3 weeks... these days are working days in Switzerland.

H.cylindrocarpa is a lovely looking large palm. It has recurved leaves from what I can remember.

After 1 year in a pot, we planted it, I wonder how it'll grow.

One of my all-time favorite palms. I remember seeing photos of this on Dave's Garden and looking everywhere to find them. How about an update? 

Here is my H. Cylindracarpa, it is looking ratty because of a wind storm but this guy has been a fast grow for me. Don’t judge the high grass, I work 7 days a week

John, the high grass is the FIRST thing that caught my eyes. I believe I see a crop of weeds as well.

That is one amazing palm. I love the entire leaves, can’t wait to see it as it grows!

This worm gets on the leaves and chews the leaves other than that it has been a steady grow. I think some of the bigger hydrostele species should be grown more for commercial use

Funny Tim. I just noticed the big clump of P. disticha and the D. paludosa. You guys are just spoiled out there.
