Butia odorata Strictor green 3g for sale

Featured Replies

Several years ago a palm friend in the UK sent me germinated seeds of Butia odorata Strictor green and blue. The beautiful palm in the following photos is a Strictor green. They are called "Strictor" because the fronds tend to be vertical and not greatly recurved as in typical Butia odoratas. This palm seems to be less recurved also but I haven't seen photos of the parent palms. If any Butia expert has doubts, please chime in but my generous palm lover seems to know something about Butias and I have no reason to doubt him.

I was planning on planting it when I came to my senses and realized that the several Butias I have already planted have serious nutritional issues with my alkaline soil. I have tried time release fertilizers with majors, minors and micros. I've tried sprays, drenches, Mg, MN and K. Nothing brings yellow fronds back to green. I can't put this little Butia through all that. It deserves better.

The particulars:

Cost: $20.00

Shipping: $11.25 to the West Coast, $9.00 to the rest of the continental US. Palm will be sent via Priority Mail without pot/medium with roots wrapped in damp sphaghnum moss, plastic wrap and foil.

No shipping to HI. No shipping overseas.

PM me if you are interested.

Palms of Victory I shall wear

Cape Coral (It's Just Paradise)
Florida
Zone 10A on the Isabelle Canal
Elevation: 15 feet

I'd like to be under the sea in an octopus' garden in the shade.

I am interested. But in light of the issues at hand with illegal plants sales as a buyer I would like to insure you have either A. Nursery license B. A plant resale license C. A brokers license. The individual states ALL require nursery licenses or permits to move plants or plant materials, thru any method of transportation be it USPS or UPS or FEDX or any movement method or shipping method.

Please provide me with one of the above license and or permit numbers so we can proceed with a negotiation on this plant.
