Looks very nice Sunnie, from the look of that second pic you are already aware of my advice but please make sure this palm gets plenty of water over the net couple of months!!

Based on brisbane's weather over the last week or 2 it looks like you have chosen a great spot for it.... No burn marks on it which I assume means you have it in a nice semi shaded position?

Also Sunnie..... Welcome to palmtalk, always great to see another Aussie ( and qld'er ) here!!

WOW.

nough said.

(well actually there is a bit more to be said, rumor at some ancient palm forests has it that at some ancient time, before history, even before memory, the east grew so envious of the West's red sunsets(just like I am envious of Kostas garden)that at one particular sunset when the west was busy preparing her bed to sleep, the East managed to steal a bit of the enviable red color of the sunset, enough to paint a few eastern palm leaves red for ever. That brief scientific explanation accounts for the abundance of red leaved palms in the east as you know.Or..you didn't?):):)

Thanks! My hubby bought me this palm from Palms For Brisbane. I couldn't have a Cyrtostachys renda so this is the next best thing! It is in the shade and I water it often. I've only had it since February.

This was it when I got it:

It's raining today! I'm so excited! LOL
