I am glad I swept the path below the palm and got 5 or 6 seeds of which one is already sprouting.

I regret this iconic palm will not last too long now, but I hope I am wrong!

I wish this oncosperma more years of life, does so big exemplar exist anywhere in the world also?

Maybe in Singapore or in habitat, I don't know, but this one was the "postcard" of Peradeniya!

See! there is only 6 trunks now, and it had 12 in 2009!

I feel really sad.

Sorry, the news are bad, soon she will disappear.

Gladly I got seedlings from Samarakoon who propagated this iconic palm.
