Yes but when? How many years ago? Just to see how fast it grew.

two springs ago bought as a seedling with only eophyll. It spends this year first winter in my cold frame, so devoid of any comfortable room conditions.

We had one (rivularis) in our front porch. It only had indirect sunlight in the afternoons and we over watered it. Succumbed to root rot. Contrary to popular opinion, they do need direct sunshine to grow.  Possibly as an indoor houseplant with indirect sunlight, water it once every week or two.

Street water. No filter.  We watered it every two or three days.

So, what Ravenea works for you, in the Medit climes of the world?

That means: California (where the girls don't they warn ya), South Africa, Chile, Western Australia, the land down under, and of course, the countries around the actual Mediterranean.

Hmm

Which one? Or more?

For me: R. glauca, hildebrandtii, and rivularis, for starters. Xerophyla, okay, others?

Whaddya say?

Dave, I wonder , what is our climate here ( Sydney but 20km away from beaches ) , I think we should be considered in your mentioned locations, here the only  Ravenea you can see is Rivularis, I have a glauca and Rivularis same age  ,  Glauca still a seedling but Rivularis with a fat trunk ....

I do not live there, so provided information was not helpful to me.  More enlightening would be any data about dissolved salts content and ph.
