    This Dypsis decipiens was languishing in the coastal cool of Cardiff, longing for the hot plains and hills of Madagascar.

    The palm had produced a sucker, but just wasn't getting its groove on. So a plan was laid, and it's fate was sealed: this palm was destined for the heat of Beaumont, where it could have the opportunity to achieve its full potential. Eric anxiously paced back and forth, and selected his tools.

    The completion of this ritual unleashed a torrent of feasting, drinking, and general celebration. Margaritas were the order of the day. Gourmet sausages with feta and basil, garlic and sundried tomatoes were sent to the grill and devoured. Teresa's fresh home-grown mission figs were wrapped in prosciutto and caramelized into delectable morsels.
