Daryl
That's some strong sunlight intensities. We've already had some 14-16 readings. Another bit of info for the same locations for Dec so far Perth 9.4mm average daily evaporation 12.6hrs average daily sun Brisbane 9.0mm avg daily evap 12.2 hrs avg daily sun Darwin 9.8mm avg daily evap 7.7 hrs avg daily sun Best regards Tyrone Brisbane rarely exceeds a UV index of 14, so the 16s forecast for the last few days are extraordinary, and more akin to nth QLD or NT, not SE QLD. 14-16 for Perth would be way over normal, which usually maxes out at about 12 in the summer months. What days did it reach those levels Tyrone? That would have to be some kind of record? Was there some kind of weird sun or atmospheric activity that caused the high UV across Oz in the last couple of weeks? regards, Daryl Gold Coast, Queensland Latitude 28S. Mild, Humid Subtropical climate. Rainfall - not consistent enough!
