I have one grown my Matt (Ntheastpalms), it's doing okay, I checked a lot of my youngun's today and some look crap, but the lamarckianum is fine.

Good thread bump as Gary ( who started the thread) evidently had good luck as I bought a couple from him recently......Another experiment... :P I guess.

But they look decent right now.. :D

PS- he said the date is when he potted them up... so over a year ago..

Zone 10a at best after 2007 AND 2013, on SW facing hill, 1 1/2 miles from coast in Oceanside, CA. 30-98 degrees, and 45-80deg. about 95% of the time.

Got the seed for these little guys last fall and although germination wasn't great, the ones that did come up are doing fine.

Some so much faster than others and haven't lost any yet.

I have a few doing well but most died.  However I tested their limits very aggressively! Biggest still only about 3 feet tall after all these years but healthy with minimal brown tipping.  Just wish I had more heat to move them along.  You really need to plant these young in my climate.
