Dave, Don't think for a second that I forgot about you. It was to be a sneak attack but I will go ahead with the goods:

Oh, it's like seeing a long-lost friend . . . .

Good question!

I gave the seeds to Palmazon to put in his greenhouse . . . . .

Gonna rattle his cage and find out!

Oh, wait, that isn't the one we took seeds off of.

That one was much much bigger.

Are those yours?

Jeff, I will take a picture of my Sargeant Cherry that I purchased at the Fairchild sale in 2005. These are slow growers!

Jeff,Please find a picture of my Sargeant Cherry taken this morning. It was purchased in 2005 at Fairchild sale and has done grown slow but quicker than expected:

Ray, This is a Palm that I believe to be extremely low temperature tolerant. I know Kathryn in Louisiana is growing one with success. My place probably would not be the best for low temperature testing as I do not believe we got below 40F. most recently.

A great looking palm, any Idea exactly what lows they can take, also how much frost?

There are a few available here at the moment and wouldn't mind giving one a try if it looks like it may make it here.

Regards Andy.

Bangor, Norin Iron Zone 9a Min temp normally around -3 Degrees C, rarely -6C. Only 2 x -2.0C so far, verging on 9b this year. No snow or Frost this Winter. Several just subzero's this year, lets hope it stays this way. Normally around 5C to 10C + in winter, with lots of wind & rain. Summers usually better, 20C to 25 C occasionally 25C to 28C, also quite humid being a coastal town

Dave, Did you ever find those seeds because you need to germinate and plant them out there in Cali. I know you got plenty of these but I think the more the merrier.

Andy, I think this Palm would grow in Ireland near the Gulfstream. I think it is one of the hardiest crownshaft palms with the exception of Rhaps and Hede's.

Doubting Thomas's, This thread contains a picture of my Pseudophoenix, albeit sans inflorence.
