Questions about Chamaedorea metallica - split leaf

It is an old thread, but I would like to contribute my own observations which I had made between 1982 and 2008 with Chamaedorea metallica with split leaves.

I had crossed Ch. metallica "pinnata" several times (first in 1992) and the result was always 100% pinnate. Mostly the next generation had more pinnae than the parents. The phenomenon of split leaves was already mentioned in Hodel’s monography on Chamaedorea Palms (1992) as normal ("pinnae 3 to 8 on each side of rachis").

All pinnate palms were equally healthy as the "normal" non-pinnate forms.
