Good! Can you fly to the Canary Islands to do some "plant-outs"?

I love the rock & bobcat gardening!

Wal, It looks like you had a great time. It's good to see a functioning palm society doing something palmy for each other. I'm not too sure whether we'd get our society slogging away in a members garden like that. Well done guys. Keep us informed as to how it all grows on.

Also your soil over there is just awesome, so much so that you don't need to dig huge holes for smallish plants and put a ton of good stuff in, and you plant them with no retic either. Everything falls from the sky at the right time. You've got it good over there. :)

Best regards

Tyrone

Hi All

Just got home after driving 3000 klms

Have to water the garden 3 days of over 40c, has not happened for years here, back to 27c today

Had a great time with everyone at the plant out, thanks Mike and Di for the bed for Denise and I. Lots of stories shared, Went and saw Greg Smith (palmsforbrisbane) Clayton, Leo, Phil and others, Have got many species for the Sydney botanical gardens and a few for me.

Will post some picks later after tidying up from the high winds, garden looking a little sick at the moment, needs lots of water.

happy growing Mike

Daryl's garden is next. Mike and Daryl are going to help me do a stock take at the Sydney botanical gardens before Daryl's planting, more fun to be had together enjoying palms.

Carlo, would look forward to a plant out at the plametum :-)

Did you drive to the Gold Coast, Colin? Did you take a covered trailer with you to fit all those palms in?

When is Daryl's turn?? I would love to see what he got planned for that spot!!

Regards, Ari :)

Yes we need people like you. Last week we had a pathetically lazy latin PRA at the palmetum, all we did was tying up one araucaria and one chambeyronia. It took three men and hours of talking. Jokes besides, your "PRA attacks" are very fascinating. It should be like a sport: Sunday morning go palmiing rather than biking or jogging. :P

I do some experiments and learning in my garden with palms so you don't have to experience the pain! Look at my old threads to find various observations and tips!
