Wow, what a trip! Really enjoyed all the photos (even without Dypsis! ) and the last one with the kids being picked up from school is just outstanding! Apparently, a few kids are picking themselves up...!

Paul, I thought it was Euphorbia cyathophora. But that is a weird place for it to end up so I was not sold on the ID. I think I saw Jeff S had something similar for sale once.

alot of plants from south america have naturalized in SE asia(wow,look at that,i can use caps!).the locals think they are just native plants,so i am not surprised to see poinsettia there.other examples are plumeria & bouganvilla.

i am sure we would all enjoy seeing more pix...

Cool trip... I always wanted to go there, but never get around to it. Now with kids, it will be nearly impossible until they are older enough to stay at home... BTW, someone told me about your garden, Len... and apparently it is something. What about a photo or two.... really just a few...

Finally got around to looking at your photos Len and they are amazing. My favorite is the Ficus engulfing the temple. BTW, the flowering plant is a common Mexican Poinsettia. I remember how beautiful these were in Madagascar and thought they were native. My travel partner told me they were Poinsettia's. I was surprised because I never saw one more that a couple feet tall which is the best you can do in So Cal, but as a tree in the tropics they are fantastic.

there was a 15 foot tall poinsettia on the south side of my house which had been there for 20 or 30 yrs i bet.

i ripped it out but it keeps trying to survive.

Great photos Len, I am in awe of all the temples, they are undoubtably some of the worlds best kept secrets. Nice to see that they are restoring some of them too.

My wife and I are going to Thailand, Malaysia, and Bali in March. Your photos are fueling the stoke!
