Simona, how very interesting that these filiferas lose their 'teeth' at this size/age... In a couple of weeks, I'll be in a location that has some older filiferas and I'll try to remember to take my zoom lens and see if any of them are doing something similar. Thanks for the updated pics. Jv

Here is a picture of mine of a fatty Washingtonia filifera in Cephalonia island :) The boy next to it is me years back...Forgive my clothes,i jumped out of our boat fast to go see it from close... :drool:

WOW i was so confused!!! i couldn't think of anything,im glad you solved the riddle,it seems they do loose there teeth at older age
