Not yet but seeds are in the hothouse. Hopefully, they will germinate soon.

I am growing this palm and love it. I planted it out from 4" seedlings in 2000 and it has been fruiting for 3 years now. I planted a triple in SW exposure, and at an early age, one palm continually burned in the summer. More mature, it now can withstand more intense sun.

This is a slower growing palm and is not as robust as the other more common Veitchia species. I will post a photo in a bit.

Every seed that drops yeilds a germinated one. It is really a weed, so I now cut the inflorescences off before maturity.

Gratefully, the best of both worlds!

I agree with Rick, their slower than other species of Veitchias, but do just fine here in south Florida.

My spiralis is growing as fast or faster than my arecinas. I planted it as nothing more than a large seedling in early spring of 2006, and after a bit of a problem with the sun that first summer it has grown like a weed. It's got about 4 feet of trunk and the leaves are well above the bottom of the roof. Joannis, arecina, winin and spiralis all seem to grow about the same rate. My slow one is a sessifolia, which was planted at the same size and time as the spiralis, and it's barely 3 feet tall.
