I found what I think were hybrid j x b growing in Warner Park in Woodland hills CA. I collected ripe fruit with what apear to be viable seed. Can someone tell me if they are hybrids and will the seeds germinate?

If you can post a picture of the palm that would help in answering your questions... viability is usually a question of what it was pollenated with??? Jv

Are there any mature Butias or Syagrus palms nearby? It has been said that the JXB is self-sterrill. Give them a shot and see what pops up!!!
