All those temple pics just blow me away! The stone carving is unbelievable. Some of the motifs remind me of stone carving in the Yucatan. They can't possibly be related, other than both are ornamental stone work done by humans, but it's quite amazing. Did you ever go inside one of the temples with the multi-tiered towers? Are they multi-level or open to the top inside? Great stuff, thanks.

i was staying in the lower room last year when i was sick with "bali belly" for 3 days.

always well-mannered & suave.

then nick came to join us.

he's the one on the right.

we decided to go to our fave bar in ubud(i forgot the name already but its near "naughty nuri's).

stopped 1st at an internet cafe so the girls could "phone home."

Is Desi Arnaz still around??? LOL. I have been away for too long. Thank goodness I am off to visit my parents in a couple of week. Can't wait to have 'real' Indonesian food!! Yum!!

Have you been anywhere else in Indonesia, Paul? You should visit Central Java (Yogyakarta) one day... It is another interesting place. Scott loved it and there are heaps of bule there too..

that evening i went to visit the "other" wayan & his family.

he lost his job woking for an aussie who sold handicrafts to evil western conglomerates like TARGET.

he also had another kid so not sure how he makes ends meet.
