Show Us Your Archontophoenix! 1 2 3 4

I love Archontophoenix palms, and I am sure many of you do too. I couldn't find an Archontophoenix specific thread, so I thought I'd make one in hopes of people showing off their Archontophoenix palms, any species! Here is my Archontophoenix cunninghamiana, which has been thriving for me indoors and outdoors (when its warm and sunny enough, like today). It's small, but is growing quickly. I am surprised at how much it seems to not care about being in cooler conditions.

Free and paid for. Been there done that. I share with you my Seedling Container Ranch of seedling success. Share yours! Here’s my “garage”.

The genus Borassus is under-discussed on ths forum. Bismarckia gets a ton of attention yet Borassus has superior size and appearance in my humble opinion. Please show us your Borassus photos. Ray

Show us your Coccothrinax argentata!
by ruskinPalms- 8 replies

Spring planting fever has hit! So I went to the native plant nursery near me and picked up a few C. argentata. I planted them in a full sun area near my failing Adonidia... figured why not get some new stuff started and see what happens. Also, I plan to replace palms that die in my yard with things supposedly somewhat native to my area. Anyway, I’d love to know more about these. Like how fast can I expect them to grow, cold/frost tolerance etc. and please post pics of yours if you have them!

Show us your Dypsis "dark mealy bug"
by steve99- 39 replies

I've had two Dypsis "Dark Mealy Bugs" in ground for a few years now and both are growing nicely. They appear to like hot weather but are also uneffected by cold weather, which is handy, especially where I live, because I get a few frosts in winter. I'm sure there are plenty of bigger specimens out there in palm gardens world wide. So show us your Dypsis 'Dark Mealy Bug". Here's my two.

Show us your FLORIDA Chambeyronia's
by palmtodd- 22 replies

There isn't much info or photos of growing Chambeyronia's in Florida. It seems like not many people have them planted in FL? I'd love to see photos of some in different lighting positions and see the results . I think this palm is under planted mainly because it needs some shade when young and most yards I see in FL don't have the canopy so landscapers / big growers just ignore it? Here's photos of my Chamey's last two leaves it has thrown, it is growing in shade of other palms.
