Had one for 2 1/2 years that I had planted in the backyard, but was in medium to heavy shade (this was before I had started planting out my front, and that's the room I had at the time.). I need a replacement now. This one is going in the front yard in full sun & well drained sandy soil. The one I had was about 3ft. tall. I would like to replace it with similar size or larger. Wanted: Mauritia flex or Corypha utan in Australia
by FNQ Marcus- 4 replies
Okay..... I planted seeds of Mauritia flexuosa and Corypha utan over 6 months ago and there is still no sign of germination. However I already have two planting sites marked out in the palm garden for them. So is there anyone in Australia who has plants of these two species available for sale or does anyone with more germination skills have some germinated seed to spare? Thanks in advance. Marcus.

The title speaks for itself. I know a lot of you have nurseries down south where these genera are commonly carried, so hopefully this will lead to some new plants for my collection! Willing to purchase (within reason), or swap (about 1800 types of plants to trade with.) Thanks! Jude
