Mango seeds
by John in Andalucia- 3 replies

I'm looking for seeds of the Thai variety, Nam Doc Mai. Although very popular in its homeland, I read it's not a major export variety. If anyone has a contact in Thailand, I'd be happy to pay for a box of these fruits and them some, in exchange for the seeds. Being polyembryonic, I'm looking to grow my own mangos without the hassle of importing grafted seedlings.

Guihaia argyrata

Hi Ya'll, Does anyone know where I can get my hands on a Guihaia argyrata and grossifibrosa? As slow as these palms grow, the bigger the better! I bought a couple small ones a few years ago and......they've barely grown any at all! Any help locating some larger ones would be greatly appreciated. BTW. just for the record, mine have withstood lows in the high teens a couple of times. Last winter (the worst we've seen in a while) they got no protection, other than tree canopy, and they came though unscathed. Tom

Bismarkia nobilis
by Bags- 5 replies
For some reason my Bismarkia has funky small leaves. They are only about a 40 degree wedge where most I see the leaf is almost round. I had hopes it would get better with age but it has not improved. I planted it as a two gallon and it was one of the very first palms I planted so it is a bummer to loose it, but I am looking to replace it with the nicest one I can find. Does anyone have a extra blue bizzy 15gallon or larger? Thanks, Aaron

Dypsis Sainte Lucei !!

Hello, first I want to thank this subforum for helping me find the palms I was looking for! At the entrance of my house I have planted 2 Dypsis Sainte Lucei (sp), one on either side of the walkway, one is growing well and one has always been a little small and ratty, even when it was in a pot. I am looking for a Dypsis Sainte Lucei that is 2-3 feet tall to replace the runt with, so I have some symmetry in size. One that is similar in size to this one:

Archontophoenix purpurea
by palmsOrl- 6 replies
Regarding my last topic, I appreciate the help in locating a nice healthy Archontophoenix alexandre! My Archontophonix purpurea was recently massacred by squirrels . I removed the cage from around it for one day, and they chewed through every petiole, defoliating it and leaving the stem very wobbly in the ground. It put out a tiny bit of green then just died. This leaves me looking for another one. A plant that is at least a foot tall would be preferred, but it does not have to be. Thank you in advance.
