The tropical look in the subtropics

Featured Replies

To create the tropical look just use large bold leaf plants, exotic plants both rare and common, get as many colourful plants as possible, vibrant green plants and most of palms palms and you guessed it more palms!

Thank you, I also have a plant obsession and a love of gardening!

Your love of gardening and plants shows , Richard . Very nice job , I needed the “garden tour “ for my Thursday morning !

I don’t know what I would do without my wee garden . I do suffer from a bit of anxiety from time to time . My garden is my therapy . For over a dozen years we lived on a sailboat and sailed “the islands” and that was therapy . Now , at 71 years young , my garden of palms and my bicycle provide that relief. Harry😎

Is that a tilandsia growing on the macrocarpa?

I just love plants and gardening always have. My job is working in the horticultural industry. Look at anyone’s garden and it’s a reflection of their character. I love living in the bush with all the trees and animals.

Weeding is one of the jobs I love the most in my garden and nursery. You may have a small garden as you say but you will find yourself in that garden plodding around enjoying life.

Plants let a person be away from the world with not a care in the world, it’s such a wonderful feeling just working in the garden.

Richard
