I posted looking for a yucca schottii and got a message from user mattlags838 suggesting I message what looks like a well known user on here jdapalms and email them at morixpubill@gmail.com

never got a response from jdapalms on here but I got an email response when I emailed that address. Got a very fast response basically saying it was shipped and asking for Zelle payment. No picture of the shipping label or anything. It was late so I wasn’t really being a critical thinking and tried to send the Zelle payment and my bank blocked it for a security review. This has never happened. My attempts to get this person to respond or call me only result in them sending me email asking for payment. It feels incredibly fishy now so I’m not going to attempt to pay for anything until I receive a package. But I’m now fairly sure that isn’t going to happen.

Definitely a SCAM!!! Email address does not belong to Jerry. Another clue is misspellings and incorrect use of the english language. 🤦

Hi, just wanted to come on here and say I've had the same experience with the same user.

I've been looking to acquire some seeds of Meryta balansae for a while and user @mattllags838 messaged me telling me that jdapalms had some available. The email I was provided with was lgrinningsidice@gmail.com. We talked for a bit and I was told to make a Zelle payment. Thankfully I did not end up sending any money as it began to feel fishy after exchanging a couple of emails. I was also provided with several photos of plants that were clearly taken from various users on this forum.

To all other forum members, avoid this user!
