POSITIVE FEEDBACK --- If you have had a positive experience with a grower, you are encouraged to leave positive feedback Show a grower your appreciation by doing so. Only one buyer vote per grower. So use it wisely.
NEGATIVE FEEDBACK ---Registering Negative Feedback is serious. It will affect a grower's credibility. So, please use this option with discretion. And please try to settle any disputes or misunderstandings privately before resorting to a negative vote. YOU MUST LEAVE A COMMENT EXPLAINING YOUR COMPLAINT IF YOU REGISTER A NEGATIVE VOTE. Explain your reasons for a negative vote, but do it politely. Negative votes without a comment will be deleted.
Please, no discussions allowed - just a single comment about a recent transaction or experience.
If you sell palms, you are encouraged to add yourself to our rating service. You may request to have yourself, or any vendor added (via PM to the Moderator). Or you may personally add yourself or anyone you wish. Anyone can be rated. They do not need to sell palms on PalmTalk in order to be rated. Please follow the accepted format.
The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms.

in I ordered myself a red Ensete banana var Marelli for my Birthmas from these guys. They also give you a free plant with your first order, I chose the Chamaedorea Elegans (plug size). You get free shipping, and 10% off with 2 plants (the free plant counts as a plant!), and when it showed up today I also got a coupon for another free banana plant.... With free shipping. Apparently the coupon is capped at $25, but I'm basically out $18 for 2 bananas and a parlor palm. I ain't mad at all. My only complaints are that a) the free coupon doesn't entirely cover the Blue Java and b) they're out of the Black Thai, which I really want. All in all these are really petty complaints.…

I ordered 20 native Nikau seeds (Rhopalostylis sapida) and received them within 15 days from New Zealand --> Ireland, despite an estimated 30 days from Ebay. €10.81 net which included €3.57 shipping. 17/22 seeds viable after a 10 minute water test. Overall, I am very satisfied with the purchase. Did some horse trading with Matt. Here's what I got. Sabal Mexicana. My only complaint is I was told this was a one gallon palm. It's more like a 3. A. Wrightii baby. And a bunch of nanners. Packed nice, made the trip from the RGV well.

This is a repost of information I originally included on a for sale thread earlier in February. I purchased 3 Sabal minors from @teddytn last week. I just purchased my 15th palm of the summer from palm plantation. They have excellent prices and beautiful specimens. Mike and Elsa are extremely friendly and they know about palms. They carry a wide variety of rare palms in large sizes. The best thing is that they are grown in the inland sun so they can take the heat. Highly recommend.

After months of hounding me over the number of palms I've killed over the last few years, @happypalms gave me the chance to make it right. I was expecting some craft beads, but instead I got some Kentia seeds (I'm assuming to make up for all the Kentia I've killed) and some cool rare chamaedorea seeds that he shipped almost entirely around the world on his dime. For those of you in places that can buy palms from him, I highly recommend it. And he's always good for a laugh or 2 too.

Okie dokie, I just went through this entire forum and didn't see a post about @kinzyjr Jeremy, but he sent me a care package and I just need to talk about the packaging and the thought and attention to detail that went into this. Reused Amazon box 👍 seedlings were all in plastic cups topped with wet paper towels and wrapped in foil to prevent spillage 👍 a fast food cup holder to keep the cups in place with a couple perfectly sized empty random boxes to fill the empty space and keep things from moving around 👍 I've never seen a seller use one of these cupholders in packaging before and it's genius. I've ordered twice from Wekiva Foliage via Etsy: one Allagoptera arenaria and two small Rhapis excelsa (arrived as three, nice). I am very pleased. Pricing was not cheap, but not outrageous. Ordering was a breeze on Etsy using Paypal. There was like a 3 day gap before shipping, but then shipping was fast via USPS. Plants arrived in quite excellent condition--really impressive, some of the best I've seen. They have settled in quickly. Recommend Wekiva. Here they are potted up.

Im surprised nobody has posted about review on Eureka farms. I ordered a lady palm for around $30 from them earlier this year when I saw they had discounted prices (they seem to have often) and I was very pleased with the quality. The palm arrived in pristine condition and shipping was maybe about a week. Their prices are good, not the cheapest by any means but pretty reasonable and not outrageous. I think wekiva is more expensive. They have a lot of variety too.

So I'm just wondering about other people's experiences when buying from this company? Specifically any reviews of their Butyagrus seeds that they have been selling in recent years...? Someone in the UK brought a batch about 2 years ago and I was able to source some of them from him via Ebay about 20 months ago now. I paid £36 / £48 for 8 of those seeds from him plus UK postage. I think he had ordered 100 seeds for about $250 and had to pay about $40 postage to get them to the UK. Some of those he was able to sell on to other collectors like myself. Gotta saw @Allen is an amazing member of the palm community. Not only does he share his vast knowledge of growing palms is a pretty chilly climate (7a) in the winter. To add icing on the cake he even sends seed out to members on his dime that he has harvested. Big kudos to Tennessee Tropics 👍
