Just thought I would share photos of this Mexican fan palm that I have been tracking for a couple years. Self seeded right up in the rocks along a bayou here in Northwestern Florida. Very tough palm, has survived some flooding and a rare Florida snow with a few inches. IMG_1202_Original.thumb.jpeg.b59cf156a867caad839c6634663dda20.jpegIMG_5460.thumb.jpeg.07cc44efe5111976d2661ddf20d73a0f.jpegIMG_1162.thumb.jpeg.cff7cd61afe9daa152dd9ed1344e9d57.jpeg

It looks very happy there. Here in California we have them popping up everywhere. I guess a bit more rare there. I actually like them , some folks don’t because we have so many . Harry

It’s great that whoever trimmed it just threw it all in the water.

It’s amazing how they just show up in random little places and survive
