Iam lucky enough to have the good old brown snake, that wonders through rarely in the garden, my advice is to myself is leave this goddam snake alone. Or perhaps the coastal taipan if you wonder around the headland near the beach is more of your choice, actually the Clarence river snake might top the charts for deadly in my area. Either way I avoid these critters for good reason!

We're starting to get a few rattlesnake bites here in SO. CA. now that we are getting an early season warm up... Even a couple of deaths this last month... Mostly hikers I believe...

Out and about here already as well..   🤷🏽‍♂️ ..No worries   ..unless one of those weirdos who is afraid of them,  ..or anything else " nature "  related,   " adult " humans esp.  lol.     Wish i had my gaiters and snake stick to go on a morning / evening road cruise or 2 ( for snakes )

Not sure what happened w/ the 2nd incident that was in the news recently  but,  ..supposedly anyway..  story behind the the kid that ended up dying from his encounter / bite  was supposedly thrown off his bike after hitting some rocks, landing in some brush ..and unfortunately..  on top of the snake that bit him, that was hiding under that patch of brush at the time he landed in it...    ..Is one angle  i'd heard reported anyway.  

Can't imagine he was dumb enough to purposely seek out the snake, esp. w/out any proper gear / training.   If dumb enough?  ..well bubba, that's your own fault. 

Regardless,  always wise to keep your ears open / head on a swivel  when in getting in some exercise in " snake country "
