We are incredibly excited to be able to offer these very limited availability Sabals.  Nearly extinct, and ripped out of the jaws of extinction we have a few available to us, and periodically will receive some more.  Seeds from harvested in habitat, and grown here in the US.  Feel free to ask if you have any questions or need something!

They are truly unique.  Once thought to just be the same species and then through genetic testing and now conservation these are protected and starting to grow in population size.  They look very much like nothing I have grown!

Some photos from this morning.  The Sabal antillensis are an incredibly beautiful size.  Fully characteristic leaves.  Are they hardy to zone 8? Who knows.  There are reports of these same palms in far northern FL recently seeing 25-26f and zero burn, so that is a great positive development.

How many of these I will be able to get is totally a mystery to me at this point but I'm just glad I can get any.  I can't help with the extra money thing, but several folks are buying these to keep them in containers until they can either A) put them in the ground somewhere or B ) just keep them in a pot forever... It's not often you can find these, actual legit ones and they are not out of the woods yet in terms of threatened nature.  Good new is both islands understand the situation and are working to keep these safe and allow populations to get larger.

The first four Sabal lougheediana are GONE! Stay tuned as we hope to get more in the coming weeks, but as was said, it's not a guarentee as to when we get them and how many.
